This piece is in honor of Lorelai Gilmore from the show Gilmore Girls.

She needed her life to look different than the one she was raised in + expected to blend into.

She is a single mom that isn’t great at cooking + eats out to o much. She forgets things, like that time she showed up to Rory’s new school + had to meet the headmaster while in denim cutoffs because she forgot to pick up her dry cleaning.

She works super hard + even owns her own business but is never truly financially secure.

She has an old home that she clearly loves but cannot quite manage the upkeep on her own so things are constantly broken + in need of repair.

She is kind of messy + doesn’t always do + say the right things + doesn't have all the answers but shows up for her kid + her friends + her little town + wants the best for all of them. No one will ever say she wasn’t doing her best!
